The Living Well with Arthritis (and Related Conditions) Self-Management Programme
Developed by Stanford University, through the Self-Management Resource Centre, this award-winning course will equip you with a variety of tools and techniques to help you to self-manage your condition. The Living Well with Arthritis course is about living life to the full, despite having a long-term condition. It covers topics such as; making healthy food choices, managing pain and fatigue, physical activity and exercise and getting a good night’s sleep in order to improve the quality of your day-to-day life.
ONLINE Course Details This course consists of 7 weekly sessions: 1 x Introductory session - 10am-11am(1 hour) 6 x course sessions - 10am-12.30pm (2.5 hours)
What you Need to Have in Place To take part in the course participants should have basic computer skills, a laptop or tablet to participate in the course, and also an internet connection. It is not recommended to undertake the course on a mobile phone.
Preparation One day before each session, participants will receive a reminder with a Zoom link for joining the session. Access to the Zoom link is also available through your Eventbrite confirmation email (email received when you registered for the course).
Additional Supports Participants receive an ebook Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions (LINK FOR DOWNLOWAD WILL BE EMAILED) and participant's handouts by post after they attend the introduction and confirm their further attendance on the course.
