Amita Chohan, Barrister, Locke Lord
Amita is a barrister at Locke Lord in London. She concentrates her practice in dispute resolution and insolvency. Amita is particularly focused on banking and finance litigation, insolvency, reorganisation and restructuring. She is involved in advising IPs, companies, company directors and asset based lenders on disputes including title, misrepresentation, professional negligence, insolvency and fraud issues. Amita also advises on insolvency procedures, antecedent transactions and directors' disqualification. Amita is an active member of INSOL and IWIRC. Her leadership roles in the global field of insolvency include: member of IWIRC Europe's Steering Committee and Technical Co-Chair of the Main Organising Committee for INSOL's Channel Islands Seminar, which is due to take place in Guernsey in September 2024.
Christel Dumont, Senior Counsel, Dentons
Christel is a Senior Counsel in Dentons' Luxembourg office in the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practice. She is also a member of the Luxembourg Real Estate Practice. With over 30 years of experience in Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, she focuses on corporate and debt restructurings, pre-insolvency issues, directors' liability, bankruptcy proceedings, COMI shift issues, and complex cross-border insolvencies. She regularly advises equity investors, secured lenders, unsecured creditors, and renowned real estate groups. Christel was named a Fellow of INSOL International in 2016 and she is a member of IWIRC Europe and Luxembourg country coordinator of INSOL Europe.
Yann Hilpert, Partner, Maples and Calder
Yann is a Partner and Co-Head in Maples and Calder's Luxembourg Finance team. With over 20 years' experience practicing in Luxembourg, Yann focuses his practice on leveraged finance, secured lending transactions, fund finance, securitisation, asset finance and debt capital markets. He is also experienced in advising secured lenders on enforcement of Luxembourg collateral arrangements. Since 2006, Yann has been lecturing on Luxembourg corporate and financial law in the Master 2 "International and European Business Lawyer" at the University of Lorraine (France)
