About this event

We are delighted to welcome visitors to the Gardens at Lismore Castle. Please note that the access to the Gardens is via a new entrance on the Green Road.

This season we open a new section of the Gardens for the first time. The Reilig Garden, which owes its name to a partial medieval burial ground to the west side of the garden, features an old swimming pool built for Adele Astaire in 1956 and one of the oldest Sikta Spruce trees in Ireland.

Opening hours:10.30am - 5.30pm (last entry 4.30pm).

  • Entrance is via a new gate. Please park at the town car park and follow the signs on foot.
  • In line with the latest Government regulations, face coverings are now mandatory in the Gallery and all our indoor areas.
  • The Gallery café is currently facilitating a take-out service only.
  • We encourage visitors to pay by card, to ensure a cashless payment system.
  • Bathrooms will be open. Only one customer/ household allowed in at any one time.
  • Lismore Castle is a private home and is not open to visitors.
  • Please observe social distancing measures, on-site signage and all COVID-19 Guidelines.

Light and Language, a new exhibition at Lismore Castle Arts, remains closed until such time as we are able to reopen. We continue to monitor Government guidelines and hope to reopen to the public as soon as it is safe to do so in the coming weeks.
