About this event

Developing the next generation of batteries is a key requirement to deliver clean growth, one of the four grand challenges of the Industrial Strategy. The Government is making significant investments via the Faraday Battery Challenge, funding research and innovation projects and new facilities to scale-up and advance the production, use and recycling of batteries. This meeting will discuss the issues surrounding new battery technologies, debate how the UK is doing in terms to developing its capability, and explore the balance between investing in batteries for electric vehicles and for power generation.

After the speakers, there will be two extended Q&A discussion periods, either side of dinner. The evening will conclude at 9:30pm.
