Join us for the premiere screening of a new short documentary about the Mending HeArts project, an initiative that aims to support people recovering from cardiac and stroke-related conditions through art workshops in hospital and community settings across Galway City and County.The film showcases a series of personal stories, featuring the voices of patients, artists, and healthcare staff. It captures the impact of art, fostering wellbeing, community connection, and emotional expression.Following the screening, all guests are invited to take part in a hands-on art workshop, a relaxed and welcoming session, guided by artists from the project. No experience needed, just curiosity and creativity.Funded by Creative Ireland, the Mending HeArts Project is a partnership between Saolta Arts, HSE West and Noth West, Galway City Council, Galway County Council, Healthy Ireland and Croí, the Heart and Stroke Charity.Free event. All welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
