Mental Health Awareness workshops
When: 21st and 22nd of May, 9.30 am to 4.30pm

About the workshops: The workshops aim to provide awareness of mental health conditions in youth, particularly post-Covid. Additionally, the workshops aim to support educators on the various mental health illnesses, and includes information about Vicarious Trauma.
Who should attend: If you are a parent of a young person with a mental health illness, an educator or person that works in school administration, this workshop will be of great benefit to you and those you aim to support at home or in the classroom.
Course content:
Module 1: Learning about Mental Health and introducing Vicarious Trauma
Module 2: Common mental health conditions in teens and early warning signs of mental health issues in teens
Module 3: Strategies for promoting healthy habits and lifestyle choices in teenagers
Module 4: Building Inclusive Communities for Youth Mental Health: Addressing Cultural and Social Barriers, Creating Supportive Networks, and Understanding the Impact of Diversity
Module 5: Empowering Adolescents: Nurturing Mental Well-being in Schools and Homes
Module 6: A Stigma Free World: Strategies for Communicating Effectively with Teenagers about Mental Health Issues, How to Reduce Stigma and Promote Acceptance
