We're celebrating Culture Date With Dublin 8 by putting on this wonderful 2004 film directed by Damien O'Donnell.
Set in Dublin, the film follows Michael Connolly, a young man with cerebral palsy living in a residential home. When the rebellious Rory O’Shea, who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, arrives, he inspires Michael to seek independence. The pair move into their own flat with a personal assistant, and the story explores friendship, freedom, and defying expectations.
Admission is €5.00 (+Eventbrite fee) which includes a glass of beer and popcorn.
