About this event
The Kerry father and son duo Tadhg and Derry Fleming, and the family members and friends that feature with them in their popular fly-on-the-fall social media comedy sketches, have reached and audience of millions. Beginning as a pandemic phenomenon, offering a form of zany wit and first-rate improvisation that was a tonic in uncertain times, they have gone with the flow of their new found fame and remained essential comedy viewing for an ever-broadening audience.
In this event, Tadhg and Derry Fleming will be in conversation with the Radio Kerry presenter Deirdre Walsh, exploring their creative processes, the changing landscape of social media, their attitude to success, and the consequences of their decision to transform themselves into creators of reality-based and surreal content with the mission of brightening the internet’s day.
More about Derry and Tadhg Fleming
'We are a father and son from the Kingdom of Kerry who have been sharing snippets of our family life online over the past 10 years. With everything that is going on in the world we have tried always to use our platform to share a bit of fun and positivity, while raising awareness where possible around mental health. We never take life too seriously. Saying that, we do kill each other the majority of the time. But maybe that is why people relate to the content we share: our stories are just like those of other families.' – Tadhg Fleming
