Description

New Now Next, our popular architecture talks series, is back for a fifth year. Curated by the Irish Architecture Foundation and sponsored by ARUP, the purpose of this free event is to bring inspirational speakers to Dublin to excite and inspire audiences who are interested in the design and construction of buildings and cities. It’s about disseminating NEW Ideas, regarding contemporary issues relevant NOW that can impact on the sustainability of NEXT generations.

On September 13 we have the return Winy Maas to Dublin, who was last here ten years ago at the invitation of the Irish Architecture Foundation. Winy is an architect, urban designer and landscape architect and one of the co-founding directors of the globally operating architecture and urban planning firm MVRDV. Based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Maas is known for projects such as the Expo 2000, the vision for greater Paris, Grand Paris Plus Petit, and more recently the Market Hall in Rotterdam. This talk is in partnership with the Office of Public Works and will be chaired by Shane O’Toole.

This event is free but in order to continue developing and providing a wide range of programmes for you, our wonderful fans, we need your support. Your donations will contribute to the faciliation of our many events, and will help us to continue to be creative, to push boundaries, and think big.

This event is also being recorded and will be available from the IAF’s website very soon.

Calling all IAF members! Enjoy priority booking, contact shauna@architecturefoundation.ie to book your place now.

Doors 6pm, talk begins at 6.30pm.

Please bring a print out of your ticket or show us your confirmation email on the evening. Arrive early as seating is limited, we have an overbooking policy in place and appreciate your understanding if circumstances beyond our control don’t guarantee your place.
