Octoga vs Watober - Outdoor Yoga and
Water Activities Every day in October
Blaithin of ActiveYoga and Finn of Fin's Fit Food are coming together to create 2 exciting month long events - Octoga and Watober! Blaithin will take to the outdoors for her daily yoga practice and Finn, who is a SUP instructor, diver and surfer, among other things, will be getting in the ocean every single day of October. This challenge strives to encourage happiness and wellness in participants while getting outdoors and trying something new.
Watober began with Finn, a healthy eating, fitness and surfing enthusiast back in 2015. On the first of October, when her usual gym session wasn't quiet doing it for her, she decided to take an impromptu dip in the icy ocean, and felt that she found what she'd been missing. That day she decided she would go to the water every day for the rest of the month.
Finn kept it up and although she expected it to be more challenging as the winter drew in, it became an activity which she enjoyed more and more. She felt physical improvements, it connected her with others and gave her a great sense of wellbeing. Read more here about Finns Watober 2015.
With all these benefits, it's no surprise that Finn has decided to initiate Watober again, and this year Blaithin is joining in the challenge, with Octoga!
Blaithin, who is known for her uplifting ActiveYoga classes on Strandhill beach, will brave the chill every day of October looking for quirky new outdoor locations to journey to with her mat. Blaithin's advice is to get your mat outddors, even if all you do is sit on it for 10 mins
Octoga and Watober are for everyone and here is how you can join in:
