In the closing weeks of the National Gallery of Ireland’s exhibition ‘Roderic O’Conor and the Moderns’, the RIAM is proud to present a concert, curated by composer Siobhán Cleary and pianist Isabelle O’Connell, which takes inspiration from Ondine, a landmark work for solo piano by a contemporary of O’Conor’s in France, Maurice Ravel. Ondine: Ravel and Beyond offers Irish audiences an opportunity to hear a rich palette of chamber works written in the decade following the first performance of the composer’s tour de force in 1908, in addition to more recent works similarly inspired by composers Kaija Saariaho, Toru Takemitsu and Irish composer Siobhán Cleary.

Presented in partnership with the National Gallery of Ireland and funded by an Arts Council Project Award
