About this event

Have you been in search of a new study space? Is your college's own library packed? Or maybe they have a limited section on LGBTQ+ topics that you've been seeking ... well look no further!

Outhouse Library houses a comprehensive library of book relating to homosexuality in general, including transgender, gay, lesbian, and bisexual topics. The library is on the first floor of the Outhouse building. It is a comfortable and informal space, which houses an LGBTQ+ collection of over 5000 titles, both international and Irish books.

While our Library is open to the public, Study Space is for those who are looking for dedicated study time during the week at a city centre location.

The Library is available to book for free on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the mornings (10:00 - 12:00) and afternoons (13:00 - 15:00).

Our Café is open from 10:00 - 20:30 with 15% student discounts on offer along with lunch options.

*A valid ticket is required for entry. Study Space is not a faciliated event. Phones and other devices must be switched to silent for the duration of the booking.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Library wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, our Library is not currently a wheelchair accessible space. For more information on accessibility at Outhouse, please visit https://www.outhouse.ie/accessibility.

Is there WiFi?

Yes, the Library has its own Internet router that is free to access.

Can I bring food and drink with me to the Library?

Food and drink, such as snacks and hot drinks, are permitted. Outhouse has a café on the ground floor where refreshments and lunch options are available to purchase.

I'd like to do a group booking for me and some friends/colleagues but the page won't allow me?

Since space is very limited in our Library, we ask that each attendee of Study Space book their own tickets for themselves. As long as there is availability, you can still study as a group!
