"UCD Dramsoc presents… ‘Panopticon’

"UCD Dramsoc presents ‘Panopticon’

Written and directed by Alexandru Petrovici

Set in the dystopian dictatorship of Taveria, we follow Igor Gordiov, a young member of the secret police tasked with finding the ‘subversive’ who spray-painted an anti-authoritarian symbol on a wall in his hometown of Sposterez. As he interviews various locals, Igor learns more about his role in this oppressive regime - and is forced to make a difficult choice.

In a story inspired by the experiences of those who lived through real dictatorship in Eastern Europe, we must ask ourselves the question: What part would I play?"
