Education and Career Guidance Conference

Pathways is designed to inform students about the further education, training, and employment opportunities available to them after leaving school, with a particular focus on students in the West of Ireland.

This event is especially valuable for Leaving Certificate and Fifth Year students, as it offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with representatives from third-level colleges, universities, Education and Training Boards (ETBs), and some of the region’s leading employers.

Following the resounding success of Pathways 2025, we are delighted to announce that Pathways will return on Tuesday, 10th November 2026 at the Galmont Hotel, Galway.

Last year’s event provided students with a valuable opportunity to meet and engage with experts from across the education and industry sectors. Exhibitors included University of Galway, University of Limerick, ATU, Mary Immaculate College, Imperial College London, Scotland’s Rural College, University of Nicosia, An Garda Síochána, the Defence Forces, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, the National Learning Network, and many more.

With a comprehensive range of exhibitors and insightful talks from experienced speakers, Pathways 2025 proved to be a highly successful and informative event for students exploring their future options.

Building on that success, Pathways 2026 will once again bring together leading universities, colleges, training organisations, and industry representatives to provide guidance, inspiration, and practical advice to students planning their next steps.
