Join Pier and his band at The Workmans Cellar to celebrate the launch of his debut EP The Harvest. Special Guest : Holly Munro

Nurtured by the gentle rhythms of the Mediterranean, Pier, also known as Pierfrancesco Dessì, hails from a quaint industrial town nestled along the southern coast of Sardinia. Departing from his studies in architecture and a brief interlude in a metal-mechanics factory in Finland, Pier found solace in Dublin's vibrant music scene, where he has since established his artistic identity.

Drawing from a diverse palette of influences including 90’s alt rock, singer-songwriter introspection, and the rich tapestry of Sardinian folk, Pier crafts a distinctive sonic landscape uniquely his own, garnering attention both domestically and abroad. His music seamlessly oscillates from ethereal ambience to raw intensity, propelled by commanding vocals that evoke comparisons to luminaries such as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Slowdive.

Pier’s debut EP "The Harvest", out on April 26th, was recorded and co-produced with Ber Quinn (Lisa Hannigan / John Grant / James Vincent McMorrow etc.) and mastered by Ruairi O’Flaherty of Nomograph Mastering ( Lana Del Rey / Rufus Wainwright / Taylor Swift etc.)

Holly Munro is an Irish musician reshaping indie pop with her captivating vocal and distinct songcraft. Her second EP “A Crescendo Ending” is set to be released on June 20th 2024 with Kartel Music Group. This new offering showcases a quietly confident tapestry of musical simplicity and depth of theme - her songs exploring the fantastic mundane, and the optimism glimpsed through the cracks of the human condition.

Her debut EP "Up Against Your Nature" (released in November 2023) garnered acclaim on UK radio, featuring on John Kennedy's Radio X show and BBC Radio's 6 NMFDaily, and garnering praise from Irish press like Nialler9 and GoldenPlec. Her 3 singles were each featured on Spotify editorial playlists including New Music Friday UK, and culminated in a heavily attended showcase at Ireland Music Week.

Collaborating with producer Luke Potashnick at Wool Hall Studios in Frome, Somerset (a historic space once owned by Tears for Fears) Munro's genre-skipping and emotionally complex songwriting continues to grow in confidence. Live dates have been announced across Ireland with UK ones to be announced later in the year.
