This Creative Communities Roadshow with Cork Community Art Link will focus on 'Place-based Community Arts'. It takes place in the Knocknaheeny Hollyhill Youth Project also known locally as Youth and Community Canteen, T23 X0NN.
The 2025 Creative Communities Roadshow by Cork City Council Arts Office is for everyone interested in creativity, community engagement, and the arts.
Attendees can look forward to the following at this event:
• Demonstration of Art Link Share - get to grips with this innovative national platform for swapping tools and skills hosted by Community Art Link at https://corkcommunityartlink.com/art-link-sharing-platform/
• Talk - hear about the ethos and methods that informs Cork Community Art Link's work with communities and groups, as well as latest initiatives such as
- The Dragon of Shandon and Festival Community Hubs
- Cork Community Art Link Art Facilitator Panel
- Block Parties
- Film Nights
• Creative Places Update - learn about the outcomes of the recent Creative Places R&D in Knocknaheeny with Cork City Council and local partners
• Get To Know You - connect with your new friends and potential collaborators facilitated by Siobhán Clancy and Louise Tangney, Cork City Arts Office
• Creative Taster - join us in the final hour of the raodshow event as we get hands on with an enjoyable arts-based activity while continuing the chat. No prior experience necessary.
Through these activities, attendees will get to know one another, learn about resources that support creativity in your areas and try something new, creative and fun.
Whether you’re an artist, a community worker or just curious, you’re welcome to join us for one or more Creative Communities Roadshow events.
All materials and some refreshments will be provided. Please bring a keep cup with you. Please let us know your dietary requirements on registration.
