About this event

Dear Friends

We are inviting you to join us for a weekend of practice in the Plum Village tradition. We will sit, meditate, walk and eat together. This is an opportunity to simply practice with sangha in a peaceful and lovely setting.

The weekend will consist of both guided and silent meditations, friendly noble silence from the evening meditation to after lunch allowing spaciousness, relaxation and ease.

Part of the retreat experience includes helping to set up the meditation rooms and other occasional light activity. This supports the retreat flow smoothly for everyone. We do this sangha service with mindfulnes.

The retreat will be facilitated by sangha members with many years of practice.

De La Salle Retreat & Conference Centre, Castletown, Co Laois, R32 FK02, is an ideal setting for retreat.


Centrally located, just off the M7 & M8, 60 minutes drive from Limerick, 90 minutes from Dublin & Waterford, 100 minutes from Cork and 2 hours from Galway.

The retreat venue has spacious grounds and is located in the beautiful village of Castletown beside the River Nore.

This retreat has accommodation for 30 people in 15 single en-suite bedrooms and 15 single rooms without en-suite.

The food is vegetarian and vegan and will be prepared by a professional chef.

Friday

16:00: Arrival from 16:00 to 18:00 , light refreshments available, if you arrive later, we will look after you 😀.

18:00: supper

19:30: orientation and meditation.


Saturday:

A day of practic. Sitting, walking, eating and moving in Mindfulness.

Sunday:

A morning of practic.

15:00 Departure will be after lunch on Sunday.

What to bring:

Please bring towels as the center does not supply them.

Chairs are provided, bring your meditation cushion/bench and mat if you use them.

Clothes and shoes suitable for outdoor walking and slippers or socks for indoors.
