A 2 session online symposium that will highlight issues and topics around the production of street arts.

About this event
Following on from the 'Streets Ahead' Professional Development Programme, run by the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) and Cork City Council Arts Office, this 2 session symposium will address the issue of Producers for Circus and Street Arts.
Featuring key speakers involved in the production of street arts event, this symposium will be of interest to practitioners of street arts, producers from other disciplines, and students studying arts management.
This is an online event and will take place via Zoom

Please note these sessions will be recorded and shared publicly. Attendees are welcome to keep videos off if they do no wish to be captured in the recording.
The event is part of Pitch'd Circus and Street Arts Festival, presented by Circus Factory and kindly supported by Arts Council Ireland Festival Funding.

Debbie Wright
Debbie is a freelance outdoor arts theatre practitioner working in all areas of performance and production. She spent many years busking, traveling and performing in Europe before settling in Ireland where she has worked and toured extensively with street arts and spectacle company, Macnas. She is currently artistic director, performer and producer with Turas Theatre Collective, a small-scale street theatre company based in Galway.

Jonah McGreevy
Jonah is an aerial acrobatic performer and co creative director of Loosysmokes performance company. The company produces experimental art circus work that generally involves large installations and long runs of performances. The company has been entirely self produced since its inception. They’ve won multiple awards and sold out every work to date.
Liza Cox
Liza is co-artistic director of Baubo, a new physical/street theatre company rooted in visual design and traditions of clown and bouffon. Baubo were selected for Spraoi’s 2021 N.E.S.T residency. Liza trained in Lecoq and is undertaking an MA in Performance Design. She has also worked as a producer, and has produced for Lords of Strut.

Bill Gee
Bill Gee has 30 plus years of working in the arts with a commitment to work taking place in the outdoors and public realm and meeting a ‘democratic’ audience. He is Creative director of IF Milton Keynes International Festival, Artistic Associate of the Bloomsbury Festival and lead on the Seedbed R&D programme at 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Centre.
Siobhán Clancy
Siobhán works at Cork City Arts Office as Community Arts Coordinator. She completed an MA in Community Education, Equality and Social Activism at Maynooth University in 2014 and a Level 9 module in Arts in Health at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2019. Prior to her current role, her participatory arts practice typically focused on themes related to health, education and social justice in youth, community and activist contexts.
Kim McCafferty is a Performer, street theatre maker, festival founder and director.
