Sex and Bodies: Promoting Positivity
The third discussion in our Raising Feminists series will look at how to talk about sex and bodies with our children in ways which promote positive self-esteem and healthy relationships. How does our own body image impact on our children? Our boys concerned about body image too? How can we embrace body positivity? How to talk about sex in a developmentally appropriate way? What is the influence of social media on young people and body image? Is Sex Education in Ireland serving our children well? How do we teach consent ? 
Panellists:
Taryn De Vere. Taryn is a writer, parenting coach and performance artist. She has 5 kids and lives in Donegal
Dr Deirdre Cowman. Deirdre is a psychologist and certified play practitioner who is passionate about body image! She is the coordinator of Endangered Bodies Ireland, the Irish branch of an international body image activism movement. Deirdre also co-wrote a children's book that aims to promote positive body image through storytelling
Rebecca Flynn - Body Positive Ireland. 
Hazel Larkin - Writer, Activist, MA Sexuality, Sex Positive Parent
