Responsible Software Engineering

About this event

As software becomes ubiquitous in society, it is a mistake to see it solely as code that mediates between humans and machines, for it also reflects, enables and disrupts the way we live our lives.

Framing software engineering as a discipline concerned simply with the design, production, deployment and testing of code is too restrictive, suggesting instead that software engineering can and ought to prioritise responsibility.

Read Prof. Bashar Nuseibeh's "Software without Boundaries" post to get a flavour for the topic https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/software-without-boundaries-bashar-nuseibeh

Join our Lero researchers for a panel discussion to continue this conversation!
