Event description

Description

Dr Sarah Miller is a PhD qualified environmental scientist with a degree in biotechnology and a Masters in Business Administration.

Sarah established the Rediscovery Centre as a small research and education centre in 2005. The Centre has grown to be home to four social enterprises, Rediscover Fashion, Rediscover Paint, Rediscover Cycling and Rediscover Furniture. The social enterprises are supported by active research and Education departments. The Rediscovery Centre created Europe's first 3D Text book in 2017 and which now operates as the national centre for the circular economy.

During this workshop Dr Sarah Miller will explore opportunities for social enterprises development and support. Sarah will also explain a number of successful funding models that are available for social enterprises. The workshops are delivered as interactive sessions including design thinking, Q&A facilitation and networking.

This course is kindly sponsored by the Eastern Midlands Waste Region under their REUSE Academy.
