Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme

• The CPD programme plays a central role in the project through the structured up-skilling of staff to contribute to the formation and delivery of the Building Change project.

• The CPD programme is built from modules & research offered by each of the six partner institutions.

• The original proposal was that each institution would offer at least one 5-credit module. The modules were developed in three phases in 2022/23, and the first CPD commenced at TU Dublin in January 2023, the second at UCD in September.

• CCAE are due to deliver the CPD in January 2024.

• The initial target audience is lecturers in the 6 Irish schools of architecture that are part of the Building Change project, to upskill them in relation to the curriculum changes that the project will initiate.• After this, it is anticipated that the CPD will become attractive to practicing architects.
