Join us for the performance of a new work composed by the Trinity Long Room Hub’s 2015-16 artist in residence, <A HREF="http://www.tcd.ie/trinitylongroomhub/news/details_news/2016-01-0creative_arts_practitioner.php" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Michael Gallen</A>. The piece is a response to three paths of research occurring within the walls of the research institute, as well as to the architecture and context of the building itself. At 6pm on Wednesday, 19 October, the piece will be performed by Michelle O'Rourke (mezzo soprano), Lina Andonovska (alto flute) and Tonnta Vocal Group conducted by Robbie Burke.

Trinity’s <A HREF="https://www.tcd.ie/research/themes/creative-arts-practice/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Creative Arts Practice Research Theme</A> is pleased to partner with the Trinity Long Room Hub to offer The Constellations Series, a new programme of public events exploring the entanglement of creativity, artistic practice, and research. Once a month during the 2016-17 academic year, the series will feature artist-researchers, particularly those who cross disciplinary boundaries, presenting their work and discussing their creative process.
<A HREF="http://www.tcd.ie/trinitylongroomhub/fellowships/2012-visiting/maarten_rischen.php" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></A>The performance will be followed by a panel discussion with Michael Gallen and his research collaborators, as well as the introduction of the 2016-17 Trinity Long Room Hub Creative Arts Practitioner in Residence, <A HREF="http://www.tcd.ie/trinitylongroomhub/fellowships/2012-visiting/maarten_rischen.php" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Maarten Rischen.</A>
