The proud young Chicano-Creole artist, RUBEN MORENO.
Over the past two decades, Ruben has set the world on fire with his melodic and soulful
voice, his skills as one of the finest accordion and rubboard players, and a uniquely
innovative Zydeco performer. A power-house musician taking the form to whole new levels
with his very own “Zydeco RE-Evolution”.
Ruben Moreno is a veteran of the musical road, having begun playing professionally at
age 13, and hitting the road at age 15, playing Rubboard with some of Zydeco’s greatest
performers such as CJ Chenier, Leroy Thomas and Andre Thierry.
On the stage, Moreno emits Dynamic Youthful Energy. Hot ~ Sizzlin… Locked down dance
groove. He delivers. Engages. Inspires. Intrigues. Captures. Thrills…!!!!!!!
His show in Campbell’s Tavern will be a special one as he will be accompanied by our own
local Zydeco Re-Evolutioners: The Barceló Brothers.
