About this event

About this event

A YA reading from the No. 1 best-selling author of the Cat Conelly series and Three Little Birds.

When an explosion rips through the chemistry lab at Raven’s Hill School and six girls are injured, it is suspected at first that an experiment has gone pear-shaped. But the guards start investigating, and soon suspect a bomb. If they're right, then who has been targeted, and why? Ella, Becky, Maeve and Mackenzie are rushed to hospital, along with the injured Frankie and Sorcha, who then team up with Jess to try to get to the bottom of this disturbing mystery. What they uncover proves sinister beyond their wildest speculations. From the best-selling author of Something Terrible Happened Last Night and Three Little Birds, Something's About to Blow Up is an intense and expertly crafted thriller, guaranteed to delight and invigorate YA readers, who now have an opportunity to hear Sam Blake read at Listowel Writer's Week, and ask her about her fictional worlds and the imaginative processes behind her hugely popular books!
