"José and Pilar", a documentary by Miguel Gonçalves Mendes, is a deeply moving story about love, loss and literature. It follows the days of José Saramago, the Nobel-laureate Portuguese novelist, and his beloved wife, Pilar del Rio.The School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics and the Portuguese Embassy of Ireland are inviting you to join the screening of "José and Pilar" in the UCD Cinema on Tuesday, 22nd November at 5pm. The screening will be followed by a conversation with the film-maker Miguel Gonçalves Mendes. All welcome!
