Eiméar Mulvey

Sean-nós dancer Eiméar Mulvey hails from Geevagh, County Sligo. Eiméar is the 2018 senior Sean Nós Dancing All Ireland Champion from Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann held in Drogheda, County Louth. She is the sole force behind ‘Club Damhsa Bróga Bríomhar', running her own dance school successfully over the last 9 years and teaching weekly dance classes in several locations across the region, including Tubbercurry, Grange, Keadue, Ballintogher, Riverstown and Collooney. Eiméar looks forward to knocking sparks out of the floor at this year’s South Sligo Summer School, where she will teach a mix of sean-nós, barrel and brush dancing steps with her students.

The South Sligo Summer School was founded in 1987 in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo to conserve and promote the rich tradition of music, song and dance of the area. With a full programme of classes, workshops, céilithe, concerts, recitals and talks, there is special emphasis on the old Sligo traditional style of playing.
