The workshop will be a practical how-to guide covering the following topics: Indie Vs Trad Publishing; Editing; Book Layout &amp; Formatting; Cover Design; Publishing Platforms; Book Formats; Printing; Distribution; Marketing &amp; Promotion; Competitions &amp; Awards.Participants should come out of this session with a good idea of what self-publishing entails and the steps involved in publishing their book. Even authors that are seeking traditional publication or if they plan to use assisted publishing will benefit from understanding the self-publishing process.This workshop will be relevant to anyone who is considering publishing fiction, non-fiction, poetry, memoir or anthology. Places are limited to 10 to allow for exchanges and interactions.About the faciliator: Mary Minnock has self-published two novels, Homesick in 2023 and Love Lost in 2024. Homesick was shortlisted in the 2024 CAP Awards and Love Lost has been shortlisted for 2025.
