The South East Technical Unversity (SETU) XR Industry Showcase is an interactive event created for businesses to explore the awesome potential of Extended Reality (XR) – and how we can work with you to deliver this tech.

Come join us to chat with our XR experts, check out our facilities, and dive into the limitless possibilities of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR).

Drop into workshops examining XR use cases, and visit our experiential zones and hands-on demonstrations feat. SETU, Walton Institute, Design+, engCORE, AMASE, IMI4, SABRE, SEERLAB and compuCORE showcasing the practical applications of XR across industry, including healthcare, tourism, education, manufacturing, architecture, entertainment, engineering, and more.

The ICS Technology Gateway at Walton Institute will also be on hand to discuss business funding opportunities.

Organized by

South East Technological University (SETU) ICT research wing, Walton Institute of Information and Communication Systems Science, formerly Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (TSSG), is a major driver in the emergence of a telecommunications industry in the South East of Ireland. In the last five years alone, Walton Institute has secured funding in excess of €140 million under EU Programmes, making it one of the most successful ICT research institutes in Ireland.

Walton Institute has a proven track record in translating world class research into market-ready products and services and has enabled the establishment of an eco-system of mobile service companies in the South East of Ireland and beyond, creating several hundred jobs directly and indirectly in the last ten years.

The Technology Gateway, funded by Enterprise Ireland, is the commercial interface of the research institute. The aim of the Technology Gateway is to take the risk out of innovation for a company by researching, developing and validating scientific and technological solutions and rapidly bringing these to clients.

To support the Gateway's impact on business', Enterprise funded a diverse range of industry focused testbeds in Walton Institute. Designed to support researchers and companies in developing their innovative goals, the broad range of equipment offers a comprehensive suite of services across sectors such as healthcare, training, pharma, agri and tourism. The labs serve as an interdisciplinary space where researchers and companies can collaborate with software developers and testers to realise their own ground-breaking innovations. These labs are:
