Description

Social Media in the Workplace

As an organisation you cannot afford to ignore it, but you should be well armed when you engage with it. While social media in the workplace can bring real business benefits, its misuse can also have serious consequences for employers and employees alike. Logging on to a social media site from work can potentially expose a company’s network to several security risks. Sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter can be a drain on employee productivity. Employers may also be held liable for acts of bullying or discrimination carried out by employees on social media sites, even if the acts were carried out without the employer’s knowledge.

Join us on February 10 as our panel of experts provide insights on how best to identify and manage the risks created by the use of social media in the workplace. Learn tips on educating staff on the inappropriate uses of social media and the types of policies that can be put in place to help prevent data breaches.
