Sligo students combat isolation with free coffee! (& tea)

3 students in IT Sligo have organised an event for all lovers of tea and coffee. “Social Sips” is combining 2 of the most important aspects of college life into a 1 hour event, coffee and socialising. Social Sips is offering free tea and coffee, kindly sponsored by Wheats, to all attendees on the 26th of April from 12pm midday to 1pm.
In this hour long event, the Social Sips team have taken the format of speed dating, combined with free hot beverages to create a friendly atmosphere for students to meet new faces from across the college. Each person will have 1 minute to sit down and get to another student who shares in their love for a hot cup of the good stuff. Every minute, the buzzer will sound and the attendee’s will shift to the next seat, encouraging a fresh conversation with a fresh new face.
All IT Sligo students are welcome to come along for an afternoon that promises to remembered. So if you like free coffee/tea, want to meet a few new people and have some fun, come to Social Sips in the Hume Hall at 12pm on Wednesday the 26th of April.
Since you took the time to read this, why not give us a bit of support of social media and check out our event page on Facebook.
We’ll pop the kettle on and see you on the 26th of April at 12pm.
