A performance of 'Stabat Mater' by Karl Jenkins, and a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of Benjamin Britten
The Goethe Choir, Dublin and the Städtische Cantorei Lüneburg, Germany (Birgit Agge, Director) are delighted to present a rare performance in Ireland of 'Stabat Mater' by Karl Jenkins, with soloists Aiko Bormann (Mezzosoprano) and Samira Al-Amrie (Singer), organist Tom Little and the Goethe Ensemble, all under the direction of John Dexter. They will also be performing Benjamin Britten's 'A Hymn to the Virgin' and 'A Hymn of St Columba' to mark the 50th anniversary of the composer's death.
