Description

A ‘Chew and Chat’ evening with presentations from a very accomplished and interesting group of women. Informal, no podium, no panel. Three presentations will be by video. Presenters include:- Fionnuala Walsh, Senior VP Lilly Pharmaceutical US, with a title - 'Let your dreams set sail’; Brianog Brady Dawson, Teacher, Children's Author, Literacy advocate and carer with a title - ‘Diversion Ahead’. Marina Lynch, Professor of neuroscience at TCD, mother, mentor, with a title - ‘How I float my boat’; Dr. Vanessa Martinez, Postdoctoral scientist, will give her perspective with a title - "When you realise you have a ticket for the Titanic... and it´s third class". Dr. Eileen Fitzpatrick, Scientist Director of NewERA business in the NTMA, with a title - On the High Seas – A Scientist in Finance. Elmarie Kavanagh – A woman with a story, with a title - ‘Oh Buoy’; Annalise Murphy, Irish Olympic medallist Rio 2017, sailor, with a title- ‘Everything came together’; Dr. Purity Mwendwa, development worker, mother, an African woman who, driven by past experiences, purposed never to give up with a title - ‘Keeping up the struggle keeps my boat afloat’. Mairead Buicke, International opera singer and performer, with a title - ‘A different journey’.
