Cooney's YardLemybrien, Waterford
Friday, Jul 10 from 7 pm to 10:30 pm
Overview

Ruaile Buaile and The Frank & Walters

Get ready for an unforgettable night of music in the heart of the breathtaking Comeragh Mountains — where fresh mountain air and an electric atmosphere set the stage for an incredible outdoor concert experience.

Taking to stage on the night are Midlands favourites Ruaile Buaile, a powerhouse five-piece bringing their signature “twisted trad” sound to the mountains. Formed in 2011, the band have built a reputation for high-energy performances that blend traditional Irish roots with a modern edge.

With the addition of world-renowned fiddler Cathal Guinan in 2021 and banjo virtuoso Seán Bourke in 2023, Ruaile Buaile have expanded their sound to thrilling new heights. Alongside original members Niall Kelly (vocals & guitar), Jack Godley (percussion), and Shane Lynam (vocals & bass), the quintet delivers a bigger, bolder show packed with driving rhythms, soaring fiddle lines, and crowd-lifting anthems that are guaranteed to get everyone dancing under the open sky.

Sharing the stage are Cork legends The Frank and Walters, one of Ireland’s most beloved alternative rock bands of the past three decades. Fronted by Paul Linehan (lead vocals & bass), alongside Ashley Keating (drums), Rory Murphy (lead guitar), and Cian Corbett (keyboards), the band continues to defy expectations more than twenty years after their debut release.

With indie classics like Fashion Crisis Hits New York and After All, The Frank and Walters bring infectious melodies, sharp songwriting, and feel-good nostalgia that perfectly complements the vibrant trad energy of Ruaile Buaile.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Comeraghs, this open-air concert promises a magical fusion of tradition and indie rock — a celebration of Irish music, community, and summer nights you won’t want to miss.

Gates at 6pm - Show starts at 7pm
