Sweet Dreams: restful Yoga with live Cello Music
Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation With Claire Osborne and Lea Miklody
Two delicious hours of deep rest and connection to your innermost being: Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Breathing practice accompanied by beautiful live cello music and periods of silence.
Experience healing, nourishing rest and drop deeply into yourself ..... Give yourself time to just be, with no demands or expectations.
Each evening begins with a grounding meditation and breath awareness practice, followed by simple restorative yoga poses which support your body to release deeply held tension.
During restorative yoga your whole body is completely supported by cushions and bolsters in gentle Yoga poses, so that there are no sensations of stretch or stress, yet the body can getly open and release. Wrapped up in blankets, you can breathe, day dream and let your tension melt away.
The class ends with a long yoga Nidra: a guided meditation accompanied by soothing sounds.
Yoga Nidra is described as the "meditative heart of yoga, Yoga nidra is a guided meditation practice with body and breath awareness and visualisation. It has been shown to affect brain waves and nervous system to bring you into a state of deep rest.
On this special occasion of Brigid's Day, Claire is joined by Cellist Lea Miklody. Claire and Lea have collaborated on Sweet Dreams for the past 2 years and it's an extra special evening with Lea in the space. Her skill and sensitivity as a musician enables her to weave a magical landscape that enables you to drop even more deeply into yourself. There are moments of silence woven into the music, to create a rich tapestry of sound and quiet, alongside Claire's verbal guidance.
