Curious about tarot? Learn the basics, explore the cards and try your first 3-card reading. Beginner-friendly · No experience needed
Ever wanted to learn tarot, but never quite knew where to begin?
Maybe you’ve never picked up a tarot deck before. Or maybe you already have one, but feel like you can’t read a card without reaching for the guidebook. If that sounds familiar, this evening is for you.
For two relaxed hours, the café will be exclusively ours, a cosy space to slow down, grab a tea or coffee, and explore tarot without pressure or expectations.
This is a beginner-friendly introduction to understanding tarot rather than memorising it.
We’ll explore the story and structure behind the deck, from the Major and Minor Arcana to the Court Cards, and talk about how to choose a deck that feels right for you.
Most importantly, we’ll focus on building a connection with the cards — learning to recognise their imagery, symbolism and stories, understand their different layers of meaning, and develop your own way of interpreting what you see.
This workshop is about feeling more comfortable with the cards, trusting your observations, and starting to build your own relationship with your deck.
Already have a deck? Bring it with you.
Don’t have one yet? We'll talk about choosing your first deck, so this is a good starting point for you.
We’ll finish with a reading practice, giving you the chance to put what you’ve learned in action and experience reading the cards for yourself.
You don’t need to be spiritual or have any previous experience with tarot.
Just bring your curiosity.
What's included to your ticket?
You’ll receive workshop notes from the session, so you can follow along and keep them as a reference afterwards.
Feel free to bring your own notebook and pen if you’d like to take additional during the workshop.
