Our annual technology in libraries seminar will this year take place in the Montpelier Suite, Ashling Hotel in Dublin on 26th September 2016.
We are delighted to have Joann Ransom as our keynote speaker. Joann was CEO of Horowhenua Library Trust in New Zealand where the Koha Open Source Library Management System was originally developed. Koha has come a long way since then and has been installed in thousands of libraries worldwide including 25 libraries in Ireland, supported by Interleaf Technology.
Come along and see Koha in action, we will also show our Library Query Database application, ideal for library research/information staff, a quick update on Murdoch's Irish Legal Companion, then we will show our new Federated Search tool, Explorit Everywhere which can search the library catalogue and your online resources simultaneously, followed by the Open Source Digitial Repository platform, Omeka. Plenty of other news and views on technology for libraries and an update on some other projects we have been working on lately.
