Technovation, Ireland Chapter (Phase Innovate) is graciously hosting a Technovation information day to kick-off the 2019 season.

All mentors , teachers and students who wish to participate in the program are cordially invited to an information and brainstorming session to guide participants on tips for creating successful ideation session and details about the technovation programme.

Background:

Technovation offers girls around the world the opportunity to learn the skills they need to emerge as tech entrepreneurs and leaders. Every year they invite girls to identify a problem in their community and then challenge them to solve it.

Girls work in teams to build both a mobile app and a business plan to launch that app, supported by mentors and guided by our curriculum.

Keynote Speaker: Jacques Vermaak

South African born with an Entrepreneurial spirit.

Jacques has been fortunate to gain some practical real world experience from he's in-trade team work in Africa. Working from the east coast of Tanzania to the west coast of Ghana and Nigeria including brief projects in Uganda and Zambia. From the continent of Africa, he took a leap of faith and entered the hospitality sector in the Philippines by operating a boutique Hotel. Ranking No.1 on TripAdvisor in their 1st year of opening. Now settled with his wife in Dublin, he has taken on a new challenge of running Design Sprint facilitation programs in line with the 17 Sustainable Development goals, helping to mobilize communities and work closely with those on a path of innovation and seeking positive change.
