A travelling family that creates unique, psychedelic New-Age drone music.

Ormston House is delighted to present a performance by the travelling musical family TENGGER. Comprised of Pan-Asian couple ITTA and MARQIDO and their twelve-year-old son RAAI, TENGGER create their music through the use of vocals, Indian harmonium, synths and electronics, and toy instruments.The group went by the moniker 10 until the birth of RAAI in 2012. 'TENGGER' is taken from the Mongolian term for ‘unlimited expanse of sky’ and the Hungarian term for ‘huge sea’. This new name marked the expansion of the family and a different sonic approach.The family’s yearly pilgrimages inform every aspect of their art. Travel, as spiritual experience in real environments, and the sound between the space and the audience have been central themes of their works. Their interest in cosmology is reflected in their outlook and lyrical approach.This concert is suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 3pm.Ormston House is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and Limerick Arts Office.
