The Headline Agency presents Eleanor McEvoy

Acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is set to captivate audiences worldwide in 2024 with an exhilarating tour spanning Australia, Ireland, Germany and the UK. McEvoy’s tour promises an unforgettable live experience, showcasing her exceptional talent, heartfelt lyrics and iconic hits. With a career spanning decades and a dedicated global fanbase, Eleanor McEvoy continues to evolve her sound and connect with audiences on a profound level.

McEvoy is the composer, co-performer and producer of "A Woman's Heart”, the title track for the best-selling Irish album in Irish history and voted by the Irish public as one of the top 10 Irish folk songs of all time. It features regularly on screen and was featured in the award-winning TV show “Derry Girls”.

Her 16th album “Gimme Some Wine” features the riveting single “South Anne Street” a song that

sets the scene of meeting an ex at the corner of South Anne St and Grafton St. on a Tuesday afternoon and ending up in McDaid’s Pub. It is both absolutely specific and utterly universal and it has resonated with audiences both here and abroad. The album also features “Scarlet Angels” which she wrote about the Woman’s Heart Orchestrated concerts with Maura O’Connell, Wallis Bird and the RTE Concert orchestra.

Aside from her own albums and appearances on numerous compilation albums, she has also had numerous cover versions of her songs by performers such as Emmylou Harris, Mary Black, Phil Coulter, Mary Coughlan, Bella Hardy, (BBC folk singer of the year) Eliza Carthy, Derek Ryan, Jack L and Saint Sister. Her songs have been used in many TV and film soundtracks including HBO cult series "Six Feet Under", ABC's "Clueless" and the Pearce Brosnan film "The Nephew".

Her song “Sophie” was aptly described by David Smith in The Guardian as “an anthem that is touching, inspiring and consoling thousands of anorexic girls around the world” It is employed internationally in treatment centers to aid patients with eating disorders.

She is now back on the road throughout 2024, with extensive tours in Australia, Ireland, Germany and the UK. With every note played and every word sung she creates an alchemical magic that reaches into the deepest chambers of the heart, mending what’s broken and lifting the spirits.

“Bathed in the gentle glow of a solitary spotlight, she steps onto a stage, set with a range of instruments. What follows has been entrancing audiences around the world for decades…
