About this event

  • 7 hours

Many of us suffer in some way or other.

We all navigate through the inevitable ups and downs of life; the experience of not getting what we want, getting what we don’t want or being parted from what we hold dear to our hearts.

These things are all a part of life and have always been, and there is nothing that we can do to change that.

However, what we can change is the way we relate to our difficulty, our suffering.

Once we have accepted our difficulty and the way we feel about it, we need to ask ourselves: "What do I need"? ,"How can I best take care of myself in the midst of this difficulty"?

Responding with compassion is the answer.

Studies have shown that self-compassion is a reliable source of inner strength that confers courage and enhances resilience when we’re faced with difficulties.

When we are mindful of our struggles, and respond to ourselves with compassion, kindness, and support in times of difficulty, things start to change.

Join us for a mini-retreat in the beautiful Knockrose garden and begin planting the seeds of Self-compassion through Nature, Meditation and Art.

This mini-retreat includes:

-The history of Knockrose garden

-Forest bathing walk

-Sitting meditation practice

-Mindful movement

-Art session

Please bring your own lunch and water for the day.

Dress comfortably and wear layers as it might be cold in the forest!
