Event description

Description

This conference is intended to bring Marxism and Marxisms to life, in many different ways. There will be academic and activist contributions from many different disciplines and Marxist traditions, and the conference will highlight dialogue and critique between Marxism and other theoretical and political approaches, between different generations and between theory and practice. It will not just be talking heads! To this end we will keep conference fees minimal and to keep the conference accessible.

The formal conference events themselves will take place in Maynooth on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th May, including keynote talks by Toni Negri and Jodi Dean. We are also building a programme of political, cultural and social events around these for those coming to the “greater Dublin area” over the weekend; details will be added here as we have them confirmed. We will have social / cultural events on the Friday and Saturday evening in Maynooth as well as a programme of events in Dublin on the Sunday; there may also be something in Dublin on Friday morning before the conference.
