Welcome to a night of celebration of Briget creativity with a showcase of 3 artists in their power! Rural Comedian Breda Larkin brings you her stand up show The word of Breda. This is a hilarious and thought-provoking exploration of her life through the triple lenses of sexuality, religion and em…facial hair. Flicking her baked beans across the dinner table in a tactful attempt to come out to her parents, Breda had found her calling in life, and it had nothing to do with becoming a bride of Christ (although living in a convent with a community of sexually frustrated women and scones on tap did sound appealing!) Follow Breda as she journeys from ‘getting the shift’ with the local lads for ‘cream buns n’ snickers’ to breaking the hearts of her imaginary lesbian camogie team and cartoon reporter April O’ Neill, by falling in love with a beautiful real live girl and becoming a fully-fledged dickie-bow aficionado. The night is hosted by burlesque chanteuse Miss Lavelle. The mother of Limerick burlesque who's humour is razor sharp and completely authentic. God bless Laura Lavelle's cuffs because she's great off them -who remembers Laura as St. Patricia in the craic talking chair at All Together Now?Featuring the incredible Dublin's own Dee Mulrooney. A multi-disciplinary Irish artist Dee's inhabiting of a female body and all that it entails is the main preoccupation of her work. Growler, the 82 shamanic vulva is set to bring the house down with her piece which includes a chat with Brigid herself. The whole night will be topped off with Brigid songs from cabaret duo The Wild Geeze who is made up of Breda &amp; Laura - very convenient and Growler will join for a flaming finale in celebration of women in the arts and the Goddess of creativity Brigid. Tickets on sale now at €20 early bird. €25 after Jan 3rd.Limited seats.
