About this event

“The brightest sound coming out of Ireland in a long, long time. Absolutely brilliant stuff”

- Shay Byrne, RTÉ Radio 1

“The perfect blend of soulful funk-pop...a strong contender in an era where George Ezra and

Rag'n'Bone Man reign supreme” - Hot Press

“It's got soul and funk coming out of every orifice...a hugely promising debut” - JOE.ie

“Reminiscent of the likes of Stevie Wonder complete with riffing brass sections and memorable choruses.” - The Thin Air

Once he released his debut EP, the momentum accelerated considerably - he was chosen to perform at Other Voices 2018, had sold out shows all across Ireland and in London, was asked to be special guest for Nile Rodgers & CHIC in Dublin and played a support set in London's Royal Albert Hall. He's been asked to be special guest for Durand Jones & The Indications and for James Blunt, and performed live on BBC Radio London for the Robert Elms show.

The Summer of 2019 was packed full of festivals where the act was featured at Knockanstockan, Kaleidoscope, Love Sensation and Electric Picnic, the latter of which was reviewed by Hot Press as 'a triumphant debut...hoards of teenage devotees shouting back every word'. The momentum continued throughout the year, with a show in New York for Mondo Music Conference, a UK & Ireland tour, performances at the Cork International Jazz Festival and Coughlan's Live Festival, the release of a second EP and a sold-out performance at The Academy, Dublin.

2020 began brightly, starting the year with yet another sold-out performance at Cork's Cyprus Avenue, but when the pandemic hit, the momentum was stopped in its tracks. Over the last two years, Conor has been writing and recording demos, and getting ready for the reopening of the music industry.

Frequently asked questions

What time will the show start / end ?

While each show can vary slightly, generally shows start 30-45mins after doors. Show will end approx 10.15pm

Are there any age restrictions for shows?

All shows are strictly ages 18+ unless stated otherwise. 2 forms of ID may be required (national age card, driver licence, passport - student ID as a 2nd form only). Fraudulent ID or ID not matching the person presenting it will be confiscated, treated as stolen property and issued to the Gardaí.

I know it's over 18's, but can a child attend if accompanied by an adult?

No, I'm afraid an over 18s show is strictly over 18s.

Is the venue seated or standing?

Unless otherwise stated, all live music shows are standing. There are a small number of tables along the side which are limited & go on a first come first serve basis so we recommend coming early for the best chance of getting a seat. They cannot be booked in advance. Comedy shows are seated events.

What about accessibility?

We have a wheelchair accessible lift at ground floor to venue level. At venue level there is also a wheelchair accesible toilet.

Is there parking available?

We are in a pedestrianised zone. The nearest multi-story parking is: Merchants Quay, Grand Parade, Carrolls Quay, Union Quay. There is also limited onstreet parking available on South Mall.

The website says X is sold out. Is that really true?

Yes. We do not reserve tickets for sale on the door, so if we've marked it as sold out on the website then it is definitely sold out. Do not purchase tickets from 3rd party sellers as these are often scams.

Is it ok to take photos/recordings during the show?

Generally, photos without flash are fine. Video is generally not allowed.

Do you post out physical tickets ?

No – after booking tickets online you'll be sent a confirmation email with a pdf attachment which contains your tickets (or on your Eventbrite app). You will need this in order for us to scan your ticket to gain entry to the show. The QR code on each ticket is unique and will only scan once.
