Training and the Female Cycle
Laois Sports Partnership are delighted to bring this workshop for Teenage girls for Women in Sport Week. This workshop is delivered by Dr. Kiera Ward and Ruth Kavannagh of Edufit.
Dr Kiera Ward is a sports scientist, exercise physiologist and active health researcher nationally and internationally. In this workshop, Kiera will explain how to get the best out of your performance by optimising your training around your menstrual cycle.
Ruth is a registered associate nutritionist (ANutr) and active health researcher. In this workshop, Ruth will share simple, practical and evidence-based nutrition tips for optimal performance and recovery from training.
While this workshop is most relevant to teenage girls in sport, we welcome parents and coaches to join too.

Online Workshop
This course will be delivered online via the Zoom platform. Laois Sports Partnership will send you reminders of the booking in the leadup to the event. Please email info@laoissports.ie if you do not wish to receive these emails. Login details will be emailed to all participants in advance of the training. Zoom can be downloaded for free to your device from the following link: https://zoom.us/download.
If you haven't used Zoom before, don't worry. We will explain the basic functions at the start of the workshop.
