About the Programme
The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin and the Duquesne University School of Nursing (Pennsylvania) are delighted to offer Ph.D. students this great opportunity to explore research methodologies commonly used in nursing and midwifery research.
The Dublin-based programme is designed for students in the early to mid-stage of their Ph.D. studies to explore aspects related to engaging in their Ph.D. journey.
The programme includes:
- Exploring your topic and aligning it with current trends in nursing and midwifery;
- Exploring and synthesising the literature;
- Choosing and identifying your research question;
- Approaches within common qualitative and quantitative methodologies (including analysis);
- Managing the Ph.D journey;
- Navigating ethics, reflexivity, and rigour;
- Opportunity to present your Ph.D. work and obtain critical feedback.
Duration: 5 days
Dates: Monday 17 – Friday 21 June 2024
Level: Postgraduate - Ph.D.
Programme Fee: €420 (lunch is provided for attendees on Wednesday and Friday only)
Cultural Activities Optional Add-on: €100
