Two-colour Risograph Image Making Workshop

Graphic Design and Risograph Print Studio

Or Studio

Take home 10 x 2-colour A3 prints of your own design.
This workshop is an introductory guide to printmaking with a Risograph (Riso) printer. In the first part of the workshop we'll talk you through the processes involved in this printmaking technique. In the second part of the workshop you will get down to making your own limited edition, two-colour A3 print. We will guide you through how to prepare your work to be printed on the Risograph and you'll get to draw, paint, cut and paste your way to an A3 print.
Using your design, we'll show you how to operate the Risograph to print multiple layers of colour to create your own edition of 10 A3, 2 colour poster prints. What to Bring: Our studio is full of materials so you can come empty handed to the workshop. However, if you have any drawings, writings, photos or materials you would like to use you should definitely bring them along. We do suggest you bring photocopies of anything you don't want to be cutting or gluing.
You will have an hour or so to create your artwork for print so if you have a bit of a think before hand about what you'd like to create it can make the workshop more rewarding. At the end of the workshop you will leave with an individual edition of 10 x A3, two-colour prints, as well as any test prints created in the process.
