(Un)Common Ground

Playback theatre is a form of improvisation where the audience share personal stories that are then "played back" by a team of actors and musicians. We aim to create a welcoming space where everyone is heard and community unfolds.

It's Sustainable Development Goals week and we're asking "Do you feel like a global citizen?" We'll trace the connections between us here in Cork city to the people and places around the world where the SDG's are most urgent.

The performance will include a short talk about Playback theatre and how it's emphasis on empathy through storytelling has transformed communities and provided space for lesser heard voices. As part of the talk, we'll share a video from our recent work with the Irish Refugee Council.
