Event description

Description

Vantastival is a gloriously independent, award-winning festival which will celebrate its 10th anniversary at Beaulieu House next June bank holiday weekend, on the sloping banks of the river Boyne. Music fans and campervanners flock to this unique family-friendly event for its fantastically diverse line up and super-friendly vibes. Other attractions include gourmet food stalls, festival traders, wonderful walled garden full of kids' activities, arts, crafts and many other fun and novel additions, ensuring that Vantastival has something for everyone, with or without a campervan!

Campervans are welcome to park on site (right next to the arena) at no extra charge, but you don’t have to have a campervan to enjoy all that’s on offer and there is a dedicated tent campsite for those without vans! Our ‘Bring Your Own Booze’ policy also means that Vantastival is one of the most affordable festivals in Ireland. If you're tired of the bigger commercial events and want to enjoy great music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, then Vantastival is the festival for you!

FAQs

1. How purchase a ticket for a 13-17 years old ?

These tickets are not available on the website. You must contact us at info@vantastival.com, giving your order number (from your adult ticket purchased) and some details about your children (age and name). Tickets for teenagers are only valid when accompanied by a PARENT who also holds a ticket. There are no single tickets for 13-17 years olds, and no tickets at all for this age group will be available at the box office. Weekend tickets for teenagers must be purchased online in advance.

2. Can we purchase a ticket for our 13-17 year-old at the gate ?

No, all 13-17 year old tickets must be purchased in advance. There are no single day tickets available for this age group.

3. Can I purchase a 2 or 3 day camping ticket if I'm under 18 ?

No, every child between 13 and 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent and your ticket can only be purchased by your parent once they have purchased their own weekend camping ticket.

4. Does my child need a ticket if he's under 13 years old ?

Children under 3 years old have free entry and don't need a ticket. Aged 3-12 do need a ticket and you can buy it on our website. Note these tickets are only valid when accompanied by a parent who also holds a Vantastival ticket.

5. Are there single day tickets for Friday ?

No, the only tickets that will permit entry on site on Friday are the 3-day camping tickets.

6. Is there a 2 day camping ticket option available for entry on Friday and Saturday instead of Saturday and Sunday ?

No, 2-day camping tickets are only available for Saturday and Sunday. Only 3-day camping tickets permit entry on Friday !

7. Do I need a ticket for a campervan or caravan ?

No and there is no additional charge for coming in a camper. Tickets are for people only.

8. Can I get into the festival site with my ticket only ?

No, you must swap it for a wristband. Campervan and caravan owners must park their vans in the assigned area of the car park and exchange their tickets for wristbands before entry to the festival site.

9. Can I get my ticket refunded ?

No, we have a no refund policy. However, you can transfer your purchased ticket to someone else. You can find out how to change the name on a ticket here https://www.eventbrite.ie/support/articles/en_US/How_To/how-to-update-your-ticket-registration-information?lg=en_IE

10. What if I don't want to camp ?

Everybody can come to Vantastival, even if they don't camp ! Once you have exchanged your ticket for a wristband at the box office, you can come and go from the festival site as you please for as long as that wristband is valid. Single day tickets are available for Saturday and Sunday and they don't include camping, but you can also buy a weekend camping ticket and stay elsewhere if you wish !

11. Is the festival wheelchair accessible ?

There is parking at the entrance of the main arena for people with disabilities. It's a field, so how easy is to get around with a wheelchair is somewhat dependant on the weather as well as on the type of wheelchair you have. If it's reasonable dry then there is usually no problem, but if large volumes of rain were to fall in the week before the festival then it could become quite mucky and difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. This has not happened at Beaulieu for any Vantastival to date so hopefully it won't be an issue in 2019, but this being Ireland you just never know ! We are happy to reserve tickets for wheelchair users so that a last minute decision can be made.

The Main stage and Firestone Music Station are located in the main arena, as are all the traders, the medical tent, disabled toilet and many other festival features. There are two other stages in the wooded part of the site - the Woodland Stage and the Crow's Nest. The paths to these stages are wide but there is a bit of a slope so you would need to be pushed. If you don't have someone with you who is able then you can ask any of our festival crew (identifiable by high vis vests) to help. The Woodland Stage is quite manageable but the slope to the Crow's Nest is quite steep. This area usually has open mic and comedy, and sometimes an indie disco late at night. None of the main festival line up perform there, and if you did want to get there we can get some of our crew to help direct you in the back way.

We advise any festival goers with disabilities to contact us in advance so we can do our very best to ensure you have a smooth entry to Vantastival and that we are available to help you in any way necessary.

12. Is there a children's area ?

Vantastival is a family-friendly festival and there are plenty of activities on site to ensure your kids have a great weekend ! The walled garden at Beaulieu becomes a wonderland for the weekend, with scheduled kids' activities all day Saturday and Sunday, while other features and activities are dotted around the site. Keep an eye on the weekend schedule for details of kids' open mic, workshops, kids' comedy shows and more.

13. Are dogs allowed on site ?

Yes, Vantastival is one of the only festivals that permits dogs on site. However we ask that your dog be kept on a lead at all times (no matter how well behaved or friendly it is), and that you bring baggies with you and make sure to clean up after it. We rely on our dog-owners being responsible, and this is vital to our being able to continue to allow dogs on site.

14. Are there ATMs on site ?

No. There are not ATMs or credit card facilities on site at Vantastival. You will need to bring cash with you or any spending over the weekend, included at trade stalls, the bar and the box office if you do not have your ticket in advance.

15. Can I bring alcohol ?

Yes, you can bring your own alcoholic beverages. However no glass bottles are permitted on site, only cans or reusable non-glass containers. We also have a bar on site for when you fancy a nice cold drink, and there will also be cans for sale from the bar.

16. Will I need I.D ?

Yes, it can be requested at the entrance to the festival. No admission will be granted to under 18s unless they are accompanied by a parent who also holds a ticket.
