About this event

Interested in learning more about the weaving process? This workshop will teach you foundational weaving skills on a simple frame loom with the aim to create a wall hanging. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to take home the piece you carefully handcrafted during the class. The course will leave you with lasting skills to continue your interest in weaving on your own time.

The class will cover:

Design development - deciding what to make, choosing a colour scheme, and selecting appropriate yarns.

Loom set-up - knotting and warping your wool on a warping area of L39cm x W27 cm, which you will create your weave structures on.

Creating your woven piece using a variety of sustainably sourced yarns in an assortment of textures. You can create a wall hanging up to a maximum dimension of L39cm x W27 cm.

Taking the weaving off the loom and completing it so that your piece is ready to take home with you.

All yarns and equipment are provided and are sustainably sourced.
